INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT & RELATIONSHIP THERAPY

About Me

I am an experienced psychotherapist, clinical supervisor and educator with twenty-three years' experience across professional mental health, safeguarding and social work settings. Prior to establishing my independent online practice, I worked extensively as a social worker and full-time training and learning educator in mental health and social care.

As a Certified Transactional Analyst and an endorsed PTSTA (P), I am qualified to teach clinical psychotherapy and counselling skills to Master's degree level, offer specialist clinical and academic supervision to both qualified and trainee therapists, and contract as an external examiner for professional training institutes. My practice is delivered entirely online and is divided into two dedicated areas of specialism: providing deep, compassionate relationship therapy for couples and partners, alongside offering psychotherapy and tailored academic, clinical and exam support for trainee counsellors and Transactional Analysis (TA) students.

My Approach

Individual Psychotherapy & Trainee Support
Whether we are working and learning together in personal therapy, supervision or exam preparation, my intention is to offer a warm, down-to-earth, compassionate space where perfectionism and shame can be safely recognised and reprocessed. I am a lifelong student of psychology and the school of life, with a deep passion for literature and psychotherapy. Having navigated my own complex educational path, I also know first-hand how painful, messy and overwhelming learning, the training journey, and the reality of navigating life's challenges alongside it, can feel. A confronting collision to manage at times.

Because I get it from both sides, I bring a sense of warmth, grit, appreciation and playful curiosity to our sessions. I am not here to judge or place myself above you; my aim is to be a real human being alongside you in the work. I bring discretion, compassion, honesty, humour and appropriate challenge to help relieve deep distress, connect theory with practice, and safely transform the unpolished, real parts of your personal and professional development into adaptive, lasting strength.

Relationship Therapy (Couples & Partners)
I offer dedicated online relationship therapy to LGBTQ+ and heterosexual couples and partner(s). I am deeply passionate about relationship therapy; I find it transitionally and relationally rewarding to work alongside couples as they navigate their most difficult moments, and I genuinely love seeing the ways in which relationships can completely transform, rebuild safety and improve. I am also deeply committed to helping partners navigate the transition of saying goodbye well, with dignity and mutual respect, if a relationship is drawing to a close.

Whether you are struggling with your connection, noticing destructive communication loops, navigating the impact of infidelity, experiencing a setback in your intimacy, or facing a complex dilemma, therapy provides a secure 'practice space' to say the things that need to be said. To frame our work, I integrate the specialised approaches of Imago Relationship Therapy with elements from Transactional Analysis. Alongside these core frameworks, I draw fluidly upon a rich, integrated blend of contemporary relationship models, including the practical communication tools of the Gottman method, psychosexual insights, relational mindfulness, and developmental, psychoanalytic and existential perspectives. Rather than fitting you into a rigid box, this allows me to tailor a flexible, multi-layered approach that matches your unique relationship dynamics, mapping out how you become 'stuck' while introducing practical techniques to deepen your emotional skills, rebuild safety, and foster absolute honesty, communication and negotiation within your relationship.
